Safety (Tier 1)

Basic digital safety: password hygiene, privacy settings, and online risks awareness.

Overview

Safety Tier 1 covers fundamental digital safety: creating strong passwords, recognizing common online threats, managing privacy settings, and protecting personal data online. These are essential skills for any digital user.

What is tested

  • Password strength and management basics
  • Recognizing phishing emails and suspicious links
  • Privacy settings on social media and web browsers
  • Basic data protection awareness

Preparation tips

  • Strong passwords: long (12+ characters), unique per service, use a password manager
  • Phishing red flags: urgency, generic greeting, misspelled URLs, unexpected attachments
  • Public Wi-Fi is insecure — avoid logging into sensitive accounts on it
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) should be enabled wherever available
